Dilemma.

Image via Balenciaga.com

I know I've been gone for just about a week and I'm sorry for that. I can't come up with some excuse that would qualify for not being able to post so I'm just going to say it how it is. I have been lazy and uninspired. This past week was really hectic and tiring for me as I was on break the week prior and staying up until the crack of dawn. Then when school rolled around last week I was on my winter break sleep mode and went to bed at 2 am every night leaving me exhausted in the morning. On top of that I was lazy and didn't go out much and wasn't really inspired by anything special on the days that I did. On the real note for this blog post I have been searching high and low for the Balenciaga Giant Work with gold hardware. Finally I found it but it's about 1,000.00 over what I want to spend on my next designer purchase. So instead I think I'm going to purchase a new pair of shoes, but I need your help. MAJOR DILEMMA! Which pair should I get?!

So should I get the Louboutin's or the Zanotti's? :)

Step into spring.

We all know that fashion is always a season ahead of what it actually is presently. That being said I went to the Giuseppe Zanotti store on Madison on a hunt to find these two shoes. Well there is some good and bad news. Good news is they had both the shoes, bad news is they didn't have the wedge ones in the color I wanted or in a size 12 (biggest was size 11). I opted to just try the shoes on for size, turns out in every designer shoe thats European made I'm a 12 unless its peep-toe or sling back allowing me to size down to an 11. The wedges were really comfortable in an 11 and my heel just hung off the back about 1/4 an inch while wearing the size 11. Unfortunately they didn't have the ones in the picture (olive and camel) they only had cork with gold and white (not my style). The royal blue and turquoise stilettos were super comfy. Although they're sky-high the leather and suede was just so soft on the foot. They had a size 12 in these and they fit like they were made for my feet. For any of you who are unsure about sizing I can fit into 10/11 in American shoes and typically 11/12 in designer shoes. But it all just comes down to cut and shape of the shoes.

PS: Tomorrow is my birthday! I will be turning 18 :) yay!

LADURÉE in New York City, finally!

Unfortunately I forgot my good camera at home (mainly just because I didn't want to carry it) and I had to end up using my cellphone camera :( boo. As my friend and I walked in the bitter cold on our mission to go from 61st and Madison to 70th and Madison we decided to stop by Ladurée for some delectable Macarons (considering the last time I tried snagging some Macarons the line was 3 blocks up-town and an hour or more of a wait). It was a really nice experience because it made you feel as if you actually were in Paris and the servers were very sweet! I decided to get a box of 8 Macarons, in doing so I had a choice of 3 different styled boxes. I chose the classic black and white box (shocker) which came with beautiful black paper and a pretty bow! I got 2 salted caramel, raspberry, pistachio, coffee, raisin and cinnamon, vanilla and praline. Overall they all were delicious but my top 3 favorites that stood out were salted caramel, raisin and cinnamon and vanilla. Would I go back? Definitely.

Camera play in NYC.

For the holidays I received a DSLR EOS Canon 60D and I figured the best place to test picture quality and setting for outside pictures and closeups would be none other than New York City. On a recent trip into NYC I brought my camera and decided to take some pictures of places that I like to frequent and inspire me as well as some yummy food my dad and I got. I think for a beginner photographer the pictures came out really well both quality and setting wise. Opinions?!

Just in time for Christmas.

Images via ChristianLouboutin.com

These shoes are perfect for Christmas in two ways. One is that they're Louboutins and every girls wants a pair. The second reason is that they're are all ready for Christmas with their red soles ;) haha. These would be perfect gifts for that special someone, the Highness pair is a classic platform peep-toe styled shoe with lavish black suede and a sky-high heel. But if you're feelings a little bit daring this year try out the Lady Peep Spikes, also a classic platform peep-toe style shoe. These have a beautiful black leather with silver spikes (which could come in handy when in need) but they are a little bit shorter than the Highness. Which would you get? Highness, Lady Peep Spike or BOTH!

Dear Santa?

Image via LUISAVIAROMA.com

This is one amazing jacket by Balmain and unfortunately it's SOLD OUT :( boo. Being that Balmain is one of my top favorite designers this coat is definitely on the top of my wish list and it's 50% off (although its still $6,000.00)! The belt buckle design on the bottom adds a nice finished touch and I'm definitely loving the Murmasky Fur. Also I like how its not just leather or suede but a nice mix of both. Throw on a pair of cognac skinny jeans and either black combat boots for a more grungy look or black platforms for a more sophisticated look. Can I say, "Dear Santa" ;)?

Mall Excursion.

Kind of a bland post, I know, but hey I've been a little under the weather and I had these photos from last week. I was just taking some miscellanous photos of random things to get used to and test out my new camera. If any of you are wondering I use a Canon EOS 60D, it's an amazing camera and simple to get the niche of how to use it. I haven't had a "professional" camera like this before, so if it tells you anything I learned pretty easily by trial-and-error with what settings work best for different surroundings and whatever effect I'm trying to achieve.

The BIG Tree.

Being that I live near NYC I frequently go there to shop, eat and just enjoy the crazy atmosphere. This was my first time seeing the biggest Christmas tree in NYC in person. Many people hype it up to be more than it needs. Yeah it was pretty cool seeing a tree that large in Christmas decorations but if you never got to see it in person, it's not that big of a deal. Actually it was quite uncomfortable because you feel like a sardine with how many people are squished together trying to see and take pictures of the tree. People were literally standing on top of one another, pushing people and some people got injured. Overall I wouldn't plan a family vacation in NYC around this time of year just to see the tree, in my opinion it's not worth it.

Glitter and Sequins.

I die for these silver glitter skinny jeans and black sequin leggings. The only complaint I had was that the glitter pair has a very hard textured fabric (probably from all the glitter) and boxy near the crotch. The silver jeans are by Joe's and the black leggings are by Adriano Goldschmied. You can find both at Saks Fifth Avenue in the women's contemporary section. Loves it, xo ;) <3.
